chien pien, wan hua - a thausand changes, ten thausand forms

...or the latest book i've read...again - "Sun Tzu's The Art of War".

and here is the jizz of it - meaning the most memorable encounters of mine while i was reading this great piece of literature.

"To kill the enemy is only impulsive rage; but to profit from his defeat is to gain over his wealth"
"To break the enemy's resistance without fighting is the supreme skill"
"Invincibility lies in one's own hands, but the enemy's vulnerability is of his own making"
"Energy is like a fully drawn crossbow; the decision is to strike in the timely release of the trigger."

and here my favourite one that TOTALLY applies to my life:

"NONE OF THE FIVE ELEMENTS - WATER, FIRE, WOOD, METAL AND EARTH - IS ALWAYS PROMINENT; NONE OF THE FOUR SEASONS CAN LAST FOREVER; THE DAYS ARE SOMETIMES LONGER AND SOMETIMES SHORTER; AND THE MOON SOMETIMES WAXES AND SOMETIMES WANES.

and a final one...

"Know your enemy, know yourself and your victory will be undoubted."

So far so good - this is what kept my mind busy lately. Next in the pipeline: The Prince from Niccolo Machiavelli. So stay tuned for more enriching quote extravaganza.

Hope to hear from all of you

It is what you read when you don't have to that determines what you will be when you can't help it.
